LAZY PEOPLE
School, marketing, Chicago SEO, customer service, quote writing, copywriting, and so many other occupations require you to do a lot of research. Back in the day, this meant going to the library and checking out a lot of books or hitting the pavement and chatting up a lot of people. Nowadays, it’s much simpler with the Internet. You just have to look up a lot of information and compile it yourself. Of course you have to verify your Internet sources since a lot of people just post anything without worrying about whether it’s right or wrong. A lot of teachers really loathe Internet research since they think it’s made students lazier, but it’s the great information medium. They can’t not allow their students to have access to the net. So they compromise. They ask their students to have at least 2 sources for any project that are actual books from an actual library or somewhere else to show that they put actual effort into everything. Books, after are, are closer to being primary sources than the Internet. The Internet is always at least a second-hand sources, though it’s more typically a fifth or a sixth-hand source or even more.
