HEALTHY COOKING AND EATING
We all got together for brunch when it was raining cats and dogs the other weekend, and not of us who lives in our four-flat wanted to go out into the weather. We kept waiting for it to ease, but what a storm. We each somehow gathered in Emily apartment and sat around her kitchen while she made the best sweet potato bread we had ever tasted. She loves to cook and says her grandmother taught her a lot about healthy cooking and eating. She was glad for the company, and put off gathering up all the stuff left by her nieces and nephews from their visit the previous evening. She was wearing one of their Los Angeles Lakers caps while she pondered where to put their things. It seems she has a bin to use as a catch-all for stray objects that her nieces and nephews are forever leaving behind. Whenever it gets full, she will load it all up in the car – the whole bin and go visiting her family. When she gets back the bin is empty and if not she says she donates a lot of stuff to the Goodwill that way. She does not like clutter.
